Donkey Kong Country: Oil Drum Alley on Mario Paint Composer Video

31st video. Thank you very much to Rusty8984, who speedily recorded this for me! Be sure to check out his awesome Mario Paint videos. ^_^

Yep, I remade an earlier video of mine, "Fear Factory on Mario Paint Composer", using the original soundfont. Hooray for the original soundfont! I decided against using the Electronica soundfont for this song because I wanted to see how much I have improved over my last version of this song using the same instruments. I revamped the dynamics, instrument choice, and percussion (especially the percussion!) I think it turned out awesome, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it as well. :D

I might do even more Donkey Kong Country music next!

now this brings me back..... it was 1997, my friend had just beaten world-4. he called me over to listen to the music on one of the new levels, he started oil drum ally, and paused it. we listened to the music for 2 hours. those were the good ol' days... oh, i forgot it is 2010 for a moment. keep up the amazing work!!

@Welytomm Thanks! 1. About 4-12 hours, depending on how long the song is and how much I experiment to get it decent-sounding 2. The faster speed is so I can use more than 5 notes per line (by using the lines next to it for notes and playing it quickly, it sounds like the note stacks are one sound instead of multiple ones) 3. Those songs use something called soundfonts: downloadable packages that change the sound of the instruments. You can download them from soundfont videos on Youtube.

I'm amazed how you did this song identical of game! * * * * * * * * * * Usually when you make a song, takes you how long to finish? You put a very fast speed to give more effect? And in other videos I saw her I saw that the instruments sounds were different sounds, how do you change the sound?

loosing 30 lifes ...
loosing 30 lifes must mean you are bad at playing this game V.V i jsut lost about 3 lifes out of simple mistakes, like hitting the jump button too late or too early

You shouldn't be so exaggerated with the percussion, I liked all the video except when the mushrooms started to sound... But it's still awesome. 5/5
